IntriS is a start-up company in the Netherlands that develops polymer-based nanoparticles for a variety of applications.

Using single-chain technology, we prepare so called single-chain polymer nanoparticles from individual polymer chains.

This approach enables us to prepare highly uniform nanoparticles of approximately 10 nm in size. Inherent to the technique, the average molecular weight of the nanoparticles is known.

Our Technology.

Our single-chain polymer nanoparticles are a platform technology: making use of a post-formation functionalization strategy, virtually any functionality can be incorporated into the nanoparticles, without markedly altering their size and structure.

Depending on the selected functionality, these unique nanoparticles find application in biomedical applications (e.g. nanocarriers), but also as additives, coatings, and security applications.

Thanks to the ease of design, their well-defined nature and enormous versatility single-chain polymer nanoparticles have the potential to shape our future.
